The S Series line uplifts the G-SHOCK brand into the contemporary fashion space for the female consumer who loves G-SHOCK watches, but feels they may be too large for her wrist. G-SHOCK continues to offer brilliant technical innovations through S-Series but now extends itself into presenting their watches as a sporty fashion accessory. The Tribal Rose, Glamorous Gold and Botanical Rose collections made their debut at FW15 NYFW via integrations with womenswear designers Timo Weiland, Nicholas K and up and coming designer Charles Harbison. Casio will release three S-Series watches globally to retail this April and May 2015: the new collection will embrace all the features usually associated with G-SHOCK. They are all equipped with an auto LED light with afterglow, 5 daily alarms, an hourly time signal, 1/1000 second stopwatch, countdown timer, world time with 29 time zones and are shock resistant and water resistant to 200M. The Tribal Rose collection is available in four color ways: Black Floral, Powder Blue Floral, Red Floral, and White Floral. Each watch is beautifully styled with a floral pattern that has been MAP printed on the bands. The G-SHOCK S-Series ana/digi introductions are also rounding out the spring assortment with a touch of gold – gold on gold, pink on gold and navy on rose gold. The third collection to the spring/summer lineup is the Botanical Rose collection which is equipped with a 5-year battery and EL Backlight with afterglow and Flash Alert for high visibility under low-light conditions. It too is shock resistant and water resistant to 200M, and comes equipped with 2 multi-function alarms, 1/100th stopwatch, countdown timer, 12/24-hour time formats and 48-city world time to help keep the sporty fashionista ready for whatever comes her way. The GMDS-6900F Botanical Rose is available in two bold color ways this May: Red Botanical Rose and Green Botanical Rose. “Following the success of our first series designed specifically for female consumers, we are excited to offer our classic styles in these new rose patterns and gold color ways,” said David Johnson, Vice President of Timepiece Division Casio North America. “We’ve reduced the case size and strap of our two most popular models for a more comfortable fit and created patterns that are geared towards the fashion forward female who is looking for an accessory that makes the personal statement, toughness and resilience that G-SHOCK is well-known for.” The S Series collections are available at Nordstroms, Macy’s and select department stores, as well as G-SHOCK Soho NYC store, and online at www.gshock.com/s_series.
